Somebody did it! I don’t know who and will leave it to Tina to assign the proper credit but I am now able to log on to the blog! I know this may not be exciting to some but it is to me
I am loving this month’s shipment.
Thank you to everyone who worked on the “cookie error” issue. Knit on!

I created a little Rockin Sock Club Spoiler Alert picture for anyone to use on Ravelry so that they don’t “spoil†it for anyone who doesn’t want to be spoiled. Someone on the Socks That Rawk forum over there suggested that I post it here. Anyone can use it. I used the Rockin Sock Club logo straight from the site, so I hope no one at BMFA has a problem with it!

I am going through a particularly stressful time at work. So, I have my little skein of emergency sock yarn in my vest pocket-just squeezing it and scrunching it a few times now and then is really de-stressing me! Sort of like my old “blankie” when I was a kid . . . so, am I weird or just a normal fiber loving knitter? Whatever I am -it’s working! Cheers to you all!
General Knitting Questions | January 29, 2008
Well, I just snapped yet another tiny dpn. I’ve been using Brittany dpn’s since I started knitting socks, but it seems that with the smaller sizes (0, 1) I put too much pressure on them and they can’t take it! I like the feel of wood/bamboo, but maybe I need to switch to something else, at least for the littler needles. Any suggestions for what to purchase instead?Â

What can I do to prevent the twist? Am I winding incorrectly? I had this problem last year also. Is it the way I am putting it on the swift and is there a secret to that? Or is there a specific way to wind it off the swift. Thanks to everyone who has an idea. I hate to stop every so often and unwind my sock.

I need help with the lace pattern round 15. Â I am a new member and have only been knitting a few months. Â I did fine until I got to this point. Â I am knitting using the magic loop method and have 33 stitches on each needle. Â All has been well until I try to work this round. Â I end up short at the end of the round. Â I K4, then SSK twice, then k2, yo, k1, yo, and then ( I think this may be an issue) I knit one. Â It says KO. Â I have looked everywhere in the pattern and on the internet and I can’t find this abbreviation anywhere, so I am assuming this means knit one. Â Well, once I do this through the round on each needle I end up with only one stitch left after the SSK of the last repeat. Â HELP!!

I am new to the club this year and am very excited about the whole experience. I have started on my socks. Yeah! I am still a newby to this whole knitting thing. I only started last summer. My Bff Erin taught me how to knit as well as gifted the sock club membership to me for Christmas.
I am not sure if I will be able to make the socks well, but I will try. I am sure I will need some help/encouragement along the way.
January '08 Kit Questions | January 28, 2008
I was just wondering if International shipment were going out at the same time as USA shipments? Last year I never received my kit “later” than everyone else, and being in Canada, I haven’t seen any sign of it yet. I was just wondering if they were going out in the mail a few days earlier than USA to arrive at “about the same time” as the USA kits?
Just wondering and excited for Kit number 1 of 2008!
