Notorious Sock Knitters | January 28, 2008
Well after a weekend of waiting, the yarn finally arrived in the northern part of California’s central valley, Oakdale to be exact. Got home from work, fixed dinner and now, finally at 9 pm I am going to get down to knitting to check my gauge. Never did that before until Cat convinced me to check it out when I was able to float around the San Juan Islands last fall. What an eyeopener. And I thought I was consistent. Off to the trenches

Having your partially-knitted sock at work. Great for the metro ride in but… it’s *staring* at me!

Can we make a request to only post to ONE category? I am reading the same posts on three or more categories and it looks like we may be in danger of repeating what happened last year. If this is just my grouchiness and doesn’t bother anyone else, please excuse.

January '08 Kit Questions | January 28, 2008
Hi all, I will begin knitting this months pattern soon. I am barely able to restrain myself but I am trying to finish decembers socks. Just curious about the sizes everyone who is ahead of me is getting. Are they running true to size or is the medium a big medium or the large a large large. Just Curious! Happy Knitting!!
General Knitting Questions | January 28, 2008
I am DEFINITELY a lazy swatcher. I knit like crazy… and start and restart and restart again. I seem to feel the risk that I will get it the first time without swatching is worth it…evidently. My size 1 needles are 2.5 (not 2.25) I am a women’s 9 and am making the size small sock. Anybody else have this combo?Â
