Notorious Sock Knitters | February 03, 2008
WooHoo these socks were a fast knit and came out beautiful! I’d never knit a heel with the double wraps before but love the way it looks. The star toe also came out wonderful. My socks are taking a cool bath and will soon be drying on sock blockers for me to wear to work this week. I will now attack the December pattern which was waylaid by holiday knitting and a trip to Italy.

i did the double wraps last year and really loved them–had to keep track as it was easy to double do. I have started jan yarn with a 40 inch needle and doing two as a time and loving it. it really helped to have started with dpns andt hen two circulars and now down to one long one–someone suggested a 47 inch–always room to grow. i too had put december on hold but if I get two at a time done……good luck
Hi, I finished the first sock last night and it looks great except it did not stripe until the heel. I am on the heel of the second sock and would like to know if there is a way to eleminate the holes on the purl side. AT least I think it is on the purl side. They are not bad but I do not like holes! Thanks
