General Knitting Questions | February 05, 2008
I am just now knitting up the Marble Arches pattern…and my question is…Do I follow the right-twist chart first then do the left-twist chart next or do I do these alternately for each row? I am a little confused about that or maybe I am just tired and need to rest up before I continue. Thanks for any help in advance.

You’re tired, Edna!
Turn the page to page 4 and follow the instructions. Once you have done the cuff, you then work the leg. When instructed to “10 sts right-twist faux cable…”, that is when you follow the 10 stitch chart labeled “right twist faux cable”. LMK if you still need help. HTH!
Thanks so much. That is what I thought, but wanted to make sure before I proceed. Thanks again.
You are quite welcome! Glad I could help! Luckily, that IS one pair I completed that year!-lol! I have pretty consistently been getting about a 2.5 GPA every year! Let’s see, kits still not done: Hippy Crunchy, Titania, Flower Power, Mustang Sally (Winter somethingorother…l), Monsoon…
I haven’t made these either! Aside from Marble Arches, I haven’t made the Hippy Crunchies, and I don’t think I will. I’ll use Peaseblossom for making the Central Airs - the extra pattern we got that year. And from 2007, I still have the last 3 kits to do (Flower Power, Lenore, and Bella Coola). I will modify the Summer of Love lace to not have a cuff because I’m not a cuffed sock gal, but I plan to do the others by the pattern they came with. Now if I just had more time to get these knit…
I really liked Winter’s Eve and they are one of my favorite pairs of socks.
