On behalf of last year’s campers who worried endlessly that camp might not happen this year because the numbers seemed low last year. PHEW! Boy am I ever glad to see this announcement. Sorry to anyone that didn’t get in as you already know you’re missing out on some thing special. Looking forward to seeing what a full camp looks like. The pool will have no room for hizknits special performance unless we kick half of the people out of the water. Maybe we’ll just take out the water. Anyway this is a great announcement. Congratulations Tina and all the Blue Moonies. Happy Knitting and Dyeing and Sockateering, Alice

WOW!!! This ought to be wild! Are there the same amount of spaces as you had planned for last year? I’m so excited! Wonder if we’ll have homework again?

Gee, there goes Tina throwing the water back into the pool and dirt on the fire reminding us that we’ll have homework. All together now in your best whiney voices, Awww Mom! (Gigggle giggle hee-hee-hee) Bring it on! Chappy’s chomping at the bit! Cece’s warming up her needles and practicing her breathing techniques. Steph and Cat are planning a rematch of DPN’s VS Circs! Christine(a) is gave us all lessons in one-handed knitting. Let the homework, fun and games begin. How much longer until Camp? Finally finished Lenore and now is on to Serendipity and Salish Sea. Happy Knitting, Alice

Ok ya’ll - this is the first I’ve heard of camp Crows Feet. How can I find out about it sooner next year? Are there other camps going on throughout the year? This is my first time with RSC so I’m a newbie - help anyone?!?
Thanks!

There were some posts about it on the blog earlier this year and it has had its own category button from the start. It is also a topic on the Ravelry “Socks That Rawk!” group. Sorry they didn’t catch your eye. Everyone was supposed to get a flyer in the first kit but it sounds like it got missed in a lot of the kits.
As for next year you should get a flyer about it in one of the last club shipments which is how, I suspect, most of us who are going knew about it for this year. There should be a flyer in the November ‘08 kit. Also look for some kind of announcement in late October or November on this blog. There was a set date for sign-ups to start which allowed for the kits to get to everyone. You can also e-mail BMFA to put you on the “I want to know about sock camp” list that I hope they keep somewhere on their computers.
I don’t know if they’re doing any kind of waiting list for this year’s camp but it wouldn’t hurt to ask if you still want to try to get in this year. Good luck, Happy Knitting and see you at camp next year, Alice

I’m SO excited to attend this year! As a newer sock knitter (heck, a new knitter) I’m a bit intimidated to attend, but what a better way to learn and gain some confidence then to spend a week with some fabulous knitters :) Look forward to meeting everyone in April - Beth

I hope we get our homework assignments soon! In the meantime, I’ll finish up my Jan socks (1 down, and 2nd halfway done) and try to catch up on sock kits from the past 2 years that I haven’t knit yet.

Glad to hear camp is full. Can’t. Wait.
