Go here to get started: http://www.ravelry.com/wiki/pages/FlickrSetup

You have to adjust your Ravelry profile, which you can reach from your Notebook, top left, click on “about me” link. Your flickr ID has to be entered correctly on your profile page.

You also have to set up your Flickr account so that your photos are public and can be seen by everyone. I did this quite a while ago, and really fumbled around until everything started to work, so can’t give you step-by-step instructions.
Sorry!

There is a “Help” section you can consult at the top right of the Ravelry pulldown menu bar, and there is also a somewhat hard-to-find group where you can often find answers:
http://www.ravelry.com/groups/help .

Good luck! Perhaps others can elaborate on this comment a bit. BTW, I’m LynneE on Ravelry, in case looking at my setup will help.

Ok, first you have to make a new project in your notebook by clicking “new project” then you fill in all the info and save. Once you have saved you can click on the “Edit Photos” tab and then at the bottom of that page make sure that your Flickr name is filled in and hit search photos. When you find the one (ones) you want drag them up to the boxes. Hope that helps!

Beth- thank you. Got that part- now how do I get my notebook entry to show on the Serendipity pattern page?

If you’re talking about getting your project onto the main pattern page - that’s not something that you can do, it’s controlled by the pattern editors.

You CAN add your projects to groups to which you belong - once you’ve got your project details in and are back on the front page, there’s a box over on the right side that says “Share With a Group”, and you can choose from the list there.

Okay wait - I’m confused…were you asking about how to get it to show up as one of the projects under the pattern, or as the main picture on the main pattern page? The first one should happen automatically, as long as when you’re setting it up as one of your projects, you link to the pattern within Ravelry. The second one, adding your picture to the main pattern page, is what I thought you were asking about.

For Meg in Moab - if you go to the Groups tab in Ravelry, and search for “Socks That Rock”, you’ll find the Socks That Rawk group.

Elizabeth- I wanted my project to show among all the Dragon Dance Serendipity socks under patterns. You helped me by saying they find it and it happens automotically (which it did). I didn’t know about the groups tab- another great tip- thanks! Ann
