Gallery of Socks, January Kit Questions | February 19, 2008
Many of us are not members of Ravelry, and therefore cannot see the pictures that are being posted there. Flickr is a photo site that is accessible by anyone. So how about a Rockin’ Sock Club 2008 Flickr site again this year? Can someone set that up? I’d like to see all of your great lookin’ socks!ETA by Blog Mom Alice: This is the place to post your links and pictures. Looking forward to seeing some beautiful FO’s.

actually for those who are not part of ravelry, can apply to be one. If however you feel like you don’t want to, you can still see the flickr pictures since Ravelry uses flickr fotos, so perhaps if those who are posting their pictures saying that it’s on their ravelry, maybe a curtsey link to their flick will also help.
Here you go: http://www.flickr.com/photos/57787671@N00/2239650832/
If everyone would post the links(prefered by this dial-up user) as comments to this post that would help keep out blog in Apple Pie Order and this Blog Mom won’t have to move your posts to here later. I’m checking with Tina for the go ahead to make this a sticky. I’m just about to the heel turn on my first sock but I’ve also been working on Salish Sea from last year. Almost done with the first one of that pair. Happy knitting, Alice
Great socks and great example KillerHamster!

I made the large size for my size 9 feet.
Why not just get on Ravelry? You don’t have to do all the extra stuff like post your whole stash and join 100 groups if you dont’ want to, just join the Socks that Rawk group. It only takes a few days to get on now. They don’t charge you money.
Here’s mine -

Mine are here. I modified them a bit - subbed a heel flap for the short row heel - but otherwise they’re knitted as written in the medium size.

Except my Firebirds, all knit as written.
Tan: some of us can’t do Ravelry. Right now the server I’m using at the hospital blocks it from loading. Reason? Too many pictures so it eats up too much time on the server. At home I have dial-up so only go there when I have lots of time for all those little pictures to load.
So if you really want everyone in the club to be able to see those be-u-ti-ful socks, please post a link to the photos or your blog here.
My Serendipity pictures are here:

I choose size medium and I have US 6 feet (if I remember correctly European size is 37). I made Welsh heel to my socks so they might look little bit different. it is quite hard to get colours right in winter time.
Here are my Serendipity socks finished on Friday, Feb 15, 2008. I made the large size for my wide feet, size 8 (US) shoe size. I found the heel as written a little too narrow. I would make the heel wider and not as deep. I liked the heel construction, just need to modify for a better fit for me.

I have a narrow size nine foot and made the following modifications to the size medium pattern. I used the instructions for the small heel and went down a needle size and I also knit and extra pattern repeat on the leg to make them longer. The fit is great and I have enough yarn left over for darning.
here’s a link to mine! There are way more pictures than the linked one….I just like the linked one best.

Forgot to add the details…I made the size medium on 2.25 mm needles. I have a size 9/9.5 ish foot I got 34 st over 4 inches. My striping turned out a lot narrower than other socks I’ve seen. I stopped at 11 unwrapped stitches for the heel.
