Does anybody have an opinion on the stretch-ability of STR lightweight ‘DragonDance’? Sock #2 is almost done and before I rip back #1’s a bit too tight toe….just wondering. Any and all insight appreciated.

Mine have a nice give to them; not too much but enough to relax around the toe a little. I effed up the decreases on the right toe (it became the right toe because that foot is smaller
and it was a little tight when I tried it on. I decided to let it go and wasn’t sorry, they’re very comfy on. But, I’m one of those people who would have gone back in and undone the toe and added yarn to fix it so I wasn’t taking too much of a chance for me
I’d say that if it’s just a little snug you’ll be ok especially if one foot is a little smaller than the other. Still, if the thought of it is going to bug you, rrrrrrrrrripit!
i have found that str relaxes a bit after a bath…so if the sock is snug now, it might be ok after. you can always redo the toe after a bath if you need to. just don’t weave in the end until you are sure.
it all depends on how “too tight” the toe feels now.
I had some socks I knit in STR that were a bit snugger than I would have preferred. After one wear, they stretched out and fit fine. I still prefer it less snug, and in the future would rip back.
I found that they stretched too much for me. My socks fall down!
I have a small foot and usually can’t make anything other than a plain jane sock because the patterns are too large for me. I absolutely LOVE this pattern because it fits me perfectly. I’m knitting the small with size 0 (2.0 mm) needle (using Addi circs and magic loop). I couldn’t tell you what my gauge is because I’ve used STR lightweight yarn so many times that I just know it works best for me w/ that size needle.
