Well, another Stitches West is over and we just got the van packed for the trip north…….barely. HotFlash is drippy, the tires on the van are low (from all the stuff we bought……) and the dashboard looks alittle like a Foster Farms Chicken commercial. We had a blast, saw a bunch of Sock Club members, and made some wonderful new friends! If we weren’t almost out of yarn we’d be tempted to set up shop on the side of the road and sell out of the back of the van!   But back to work… there IS the next sock club coming sooner that we think and we need our Tina fix! Just not the same on the phone as in person. Love you Tina, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to talk about what we love the most…knitting with your yarn.

I want to use the leftover yarn for another pair. Using the extra for the ribbing, heel and toes but not sure what to use for the leg and foot. I looked at some colors of BMFA and found Brick. Would like some feedback on what BMFA lightweight yarn to cordinate with Dragon Dance….Thank you

I’m making the medium sock on DPNs. I have 22 stitches on each DPN (2 lace repeats worth) to begin the lace. I see that round 1 of the lace pattern starts with a YO that seems like it would be tricky at the beginning of a round. Will this just work, or do I need to adjust the stitches somehow to avoid the YO as the first “stitch” of a new round? (This will happen 3 times in the round the way I have my stitches divided…)

What is a single wrapped stitch versus a double wrapped stitch?I fear that I may have misinterpreted the direction to “knit to last unwrapped stitch” in rows 3 & 4 - was I supposed to be wrapping stitches at the end of each short row twice? Â Â
General Knitting Questions | February 22, 2008
I feel so stupid and frustrated at the same time. I have never made a sock before and have tried to knit blindly with this short row heel but I JUST DON’T GET IT!!
I have attempted twice now and will be frogging back to Row 26 for the 3rd time…sighhh
I am making the medium size using magic loop…of course I have 33 sts each needle and understand to knit 35st but cannot for the life of me understand this WRAP & TURN method…I’ve looked online for tutorials and thought I had it last night on attempt #2 but nope…and I’ve read through all the q&a on heel help to no avail…
has it just not “clicked” yet?? or what??? HELP!!!!!!!!!
thanks

I have been looking at the pics of socks and see many on blockers. Â My nasty confession about sock knitting and maybe some of my other knitting is that I frequently omit blocking. Â I know why its good for sweaters but is it horrible to not block socks? Â Should I? Â thanks for any thoughts on the blocking

I sent an email to orders@bluemoonfiberarts.com and it keeps getting returned to me with an error message. Probably something glitchy on my end.
So this weekend I started the Summer of Love Lace sock (my last 2007 sock and then I can start in on Serendipity!) and very foolishly took the ORIGINAL pattern with me on some errands. And of course I lost it. Yesterday my husband found part of it in our car. But I am missing the middle page (pages 3-4)! Can anyone out there help me out by scanning and emailing that middle page? I am kellybottsmith@gmail.com. I am 99.8% sure this is not a copyright no-no because I do actually own the pattern (photo proof below) , but will totally understand if your ethics lead you to the opposite conclusion. I know the Blue Moon folks will come through as well, but I am Seriously Impatient and want to start the rest of Sock Alpha now (having just finished blocking the lace cuff).
