ACK! Need it now. If it’s pink AND green, I’m just going to fall over dead in excitement. Dead I tell you. Must. Resist. Desire. To. Cast. On. Socks.

Seriously, I’m knitting up Jeanie in some STR lightweight right now, so it’s kind of like I’m knitting socks, in an absolutly NOT like knitting socks sort of way. But I think this is the longest I’ve ever gone without having socks on the needles ever. I don’t even have one in the time out area…. so…. maybe you should just send me mine now now now now now now now now?

On March 11th, 2008 at 9:30 am thingwhatsqueeks said:

Tina you are horrible. I’m going to die. My brain is going to explode and the coroner is going to wonder how to write-up “yarn anticipation” on the certificate.

Pink and Green flashback to the age of the preppie! Actually liked that era. Guess its time to get all my solo socks paired up. I just have 5 sitting around waiting fro their mates. This must be how second sock syndrome starts. Too many new projects all at once and you have to start them all or you’ll be behind soooo. 5 lonely socks but at least 2 of them have mates started. Back to knitting and off the computer. Alice

On March 11th, 2008 at 10:14 am Deb said:

I love pink and green too! Seriously love them together! Before I started making socks, i had heard about 2nd sock syndrome so I always make sure I’m working on both socks at the same time–I made sure I’ve got two sets of dpns in all possible sock sizes–ha! So far, so good–I’m really hoping it’s pink and green now…just like Kermit and Piggy! but it will be a lovely treat and i’ll hope mine makes it by the 21st! Just in time for Easter!

I thought of holding off on starting another pair, but decided I’d better go ahead and I started it yesterday. Now I’ll work on finishing it before the package arrives.

I’ll be happy with whatever color comes my way.

Oooooooh! Green! Pink! Acid Yellow! How about a little blue and purple????????? It sounds like Kermit’s Rainbow.

“Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what’s on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it
I know they’re wrong, wait and see.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that
and someone believed it,
and look what it’s done so far.
What’s so amazing that keeps us stargazing?
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.

All of us under its spell,
we know that it’s probably magic….

Have you been half asleep
and have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it.
It’s something that I’m supposed to be.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.
La, la la, La, la la la, La Laa, la la, La, La la laaaaaaa”

Tina….anyone ever tell you that you are a tease? ;)

I don’t care what the colors are, I just can’t wait! I’ve had a blast with this club! I learned some new techniques with the first kit, and can’t wait to try something else that is new!

Um, is it next week yet? :)

I’m game for acid yellow.

On March 11th, 2008 at 12:55 pm Tina said:

Me, a tease . Noooooo

So, I get like this when I am working too much in areas that are NOT so wonderful for me. I can do it, not a problem but then I get into this thing where I want to cause trouble, mix it up a bit.
Usually I am mixing it up with color and yarn and stitches and stories…

I am glad that you are having fun and learning new things that is what it is all about.

and then there was PURPLE!

On March 11th, 2008 at 1:18 pm Jen G. said:

I tried to make my Serendipities last as long as possible. I stopped carrying them around and only let myself knit on them at work (I answer phones, so if it’s slow I can get a few rounds in between calls. But I could only make them last so long. So now I’m waiting… impatiently. And all this color/kit speculation is going to make me crazy!!!

On March 11th, 2008 at 2:00 pm Cathy-Cate said:

Next week is not so long, hooray!

And I have finished a lot of my to-do knitted projects this last week or two, so I can FINALLY start Serendipity, hooray! Maybe I can even finish before the Cookie Monster Blue/Kermit Green (I like Kermit Green better than Oscar Green myself)/Prairie Dawn Pink/Big Bird Yellow/whatever surprises Tina has cooked up in the dyepots for us, arrives on the doorstep.

On March 11th, 2008 at 2:52 pm Nartian said:

Ahem. Grover is blue. (As is our beloved Cookie Monster.) Elmo is red. Sadly, this fact is imprinted in my toddler mommy brain. ‘Cept which muppet is purple. Hmmm, why is that?

BTW, do I even dare ask if you’re going to warn us which colors you’ll retire for the new stuff? Or do you even want the maelstrom of buyers snagging those colors before the new ones go up.

Nartian
- Lover of Pond Scum and purple. But not necessarily together. Oh, wait. Maybe they can. I should try this w/my eyeshadows and see.

In any case, methinks you need more purple. ;)

On March 11th, 2008 at 2:57 pm adrienne in the bellybutton of california said:

there is a purple muppet: quoted from wiki-pedia

“Mahna Mahna is a purple Muppet with wild, orange hair and a furry, green tunic who is most famous for performing the nonsense song “Mahna Mahna” with the Snowths.”

oh, i would so NOT want that yarn; even if tina dyed it. can you imagine?!

and nartian, you will still remember all the colors of the muppets when your kids are grown. i think i still have a toddler mom mind.

Well as much as it pains me to admit this and believe me it does.

Oohh the pain, are you ready? Pond scum does not really go with sherbet and there a a couple others where it might work, but it would probably do permanent damage to your eyes.

sigh

On March 12th, 2008 at 5:26 am Nartian said:

Oh, I don’t know about that. I bet if we add another “awful” color to Pond Scum & Sherbet it’ll be jammin! Hey, maybe some…purple?!? Hee!

Oh, Telly! Telly’s purple-ish! A little more pinky-red, but purple nonetheless. How could I forget him?!?

Okay, off to get ready this morning while humming mahna mahna…

Man, that’s alot of chatter. Tina, i thought you were busy… doing something besides stirring up our insides with color visions that make our knights sleepless! the funny thing about all this muppet chatter is that on monday, i just rewrote Oscar’s (remember…sort of pond-scummy green trash can puppet) sond “i love trash”. My version is called “I LOVE YARN”!!!!!
thanks for all the fun tina!
ps. pinkpurplegreen!? did i mention i love pink???

On March 12th, 2008 at 10:45 am Deb said:

Why do I suddenly have this feeling that Tina’s just been looking at the egg coloring kit that just happens to be on her desk (and which someone else mentioned) and decided to just throw out the colors in it bit by bit to throw us off the trail?! She’s probably sitting there tee-heeing away because she knows it has absolutely nothing to do with this month’s yarn???? Hmmmm. Although Cece may hold the key since she’s going to be rolling on the floor loving this color according to Tina–could be a major clue, eh?

On March 12th, 2008 at 10:59 am Amanda said:

How about ALL the colors Tina’s mentioned? THAT would be fun! I’m feeling green for some reason - St. Pat’s, maybe?

I’m just excited about SEEING it, whatever it is. :)

On March 12th, 2008 at 1:13 pm Leslie said:

Well, based on all the STR Mill Ends Cece was grabbing up last year at camp, I am wondering if I may have an idea what this one looks like…CLEAR COLORS…Neon-ish?…?

And I think Pond Scum would be AWESOME with an awesome PURPLE! Maybe not so much with a Lavendar, but who knows…

On March 12th, 2008 at 2:37 pm Tina said:

Marcy I need to hear this song or at least see the words to your version.

how funny

we love making our favorite songs yarn friendly. The current is Robert Palmer”s Addicted to … Yarn (love) It’s pretty funny, especially when we do it.

Easter egg colors, perhaps. Sounds good to me. Had a vision of easter egg colors on the MAX ride home from work and tried to imagine the pattern. Coule it possibly be toe up???? Can hardly wait to next week. Think I will be haunting my PO box daily!!!

Purple. Purple. Purple……

So please remember all the love for your dyer when your kit shows up and it seems that I might (maybe/maybe not) have led you down the garden path.

I’m just saying… no color promises here.

We should play a game/contest.

Keep us “all” occupied.
