Warning Spoilage | March 25, 2008
I am amazed that I looked at the back of the pattern many times and did not notice the face. The first time my husband casually glanced at the pattern the face popped right out at him. We agreed it wasn’t an accident. Now I will have to go back to some of my other patterns and see if I can find any other visual jokes.

I’m looking and then my mom comes up and asks me what I’m doing and I tell her and she calls over my nephew and we still don’t see it. Can we have another hint?
Noticed it right away…rainbows for eyes…blue moons for nostrils, smiling blue moon mouth…
Now I see it, I think I was looking too hard
It was not an accident, just massive silliness.Rosie and I dumped three boxes of Lucky Charms on a sheet so I could photograph said Lucky sock in with it’s charms. We were laughing so hard it is amazing that they turned out at all. When we laid the yarn out it just looked like a sea monster sooo… . Then my very practical daughter Rabia shows up to witness this scene. She decides Rosie’s idea of picking out the blue moons for other photo ops is brilliant so she sits and picks them ALL out. Extremely out of character for her. So that is where the cup of blue moons came from. This one was great fun to design around.
Every time someone posts Lucky Charms the elf in my head sings out “Frosted Lucky Charms, They’re Magically Delicious!” Too much TV as a child I guess. I also have an elf at Christmas time that sings a K-Mart jingle. Way too much TV but now I knit while I watch ad-free DVD’s.
Happy Knitting, Alice
