Just Starting.
Notorious Sock Knitters | May 15, 2008
I am deeply ashamed (and excited as well, since I’m finally getting to it) to admit that I am just starting my March pair. Moving, job, and all those pesky life things got in the way of knitting. Can’t wait to see the new yarn, though. I may cry if it’s yellow, since it will remind me of a moving truck….:-) (Edit: Title added by Blog Mom Alice)

I just started my leaflings, too! Not ashamed, though. (Well maybe a little if you consider that I still have five pair from last year’s club still waiting to be knit up. oops.)
No need to feel ashamed especially since you have been busy moving, etc. I’m still working on the second Leafling sock. I think I will be finishing it on Saturday. Plus, I have socks from 2006 (2 left to do or is it 3?)and 2007 (3 left to do)that still haven’t been knit. There are benefits to starting them later — you can learn from the experiences of others who have gone before you.
I’m in the same boat…I had cast on for the leafling and then moved on to knitting cardigans. I picked up the pattern yesterday and started to make a little head way. I’ve given up on feeling guilty about anything connected to knitting after reading the yarn harlot’s book. Knitters just have commitment issues at times. It’ll all work out in the end
Well, even though I finished my leaflings, I’ve been unable to wear them because of an unprecedented heat wave. At the end of last year, I let 3 kits pile up, and after Christmas was over, I had my fun making one right after another. Enjoy your knitting and don’t let this yummy yarn become stash!
I have decided I’m going to save the Leafling Socks for fall/winter when I’ll be DYING for some green. I love the color and the pattern so much I want to enjoy my time spent with them, and I have a LOT of babies to knit for (like 3) before fall….
No, I’m going to savor those lovely green socks….
You have nothing to feel bad about. As I write this (well, I put it down to type) I am knitting the Salish Sea socks from the December kit. I plan to finish today
As of the end of 2007 I had only done 2 of the 2007 kits. I am bound and determined to be fully caught up by the time the July kit arrives
I’m starting my cast on tonight. I just finished my Serendipity socks!! I’m glad I”m not the only one!
