I got it here in SF today. Beautiful color though totally outside my stash zone. . .but one of the things I like about the sock club is it takes me outside the color zone. Got it in Acton, Massachusetts!

My favorite color so far. The best thing about RSC is that it makes me learn techniques I haven’t done before. Serendipity and Leafling were my first non-plain socks. Cleopatra will be my first toe-up socks. The pattern looks great.

I knitted the March socks really fast and then procrastinated on the toe grafting. I finshed the second sock this AM before work because I knew something good would be in the mailbox today.

Woot! Psyched. Yes indeed.

I received the color purple yesterday in the mail, I was out of town so my husband called me with the news! Have to research the toe-up method…but it is luscious. I am in the Lake of the Ozarks, MO.

What a wonderful box to greet me in Wisconsin when I came home from work last night! I had been avoiding the blog (an unwary comment gave the color away last time) — I wanted to be surprised. Then sweet Cece’s blog came up on Bloglines Wednesday with that glorious color purple! I teased her for spoilage, but you know she’s got a great excuse. Anyway, Cece told me I don’t have to finish all the other projects on my needles and that I’m supposed to be casting on — that I can start the wonderful Color Purple Socks right now!!

I think I have to wait, though, even if I get a note from her. Deadline knitting, you know? And I haven’t finished Leaflings (I put them aside to do Sock Camp homework and never got back to them….I want to!).

I remember The Incredible Shrinking Violet! Yay! I can’t wait till I can cast these on! And I love toe-ups and Yarnissima’s patterns, so I am just a happy, happy (Sock) Camper here!

Got mine on Thursday…the label says “purple math”
LOVE the color, but…I haven’t done a toe up yet. I am a bit reluctant to start. I will, just haven’t had any alone quiet time to myself yet.

Mine finally arrived here in Nebraska on the 31st and I’m going to echo everyone else that I love the color! It reminds me of pansies and violas, my favorites.

Got mine on the 29th. Don’t know what I was more excited about the yarn, pattern or the luggage tag. Am going to Grand Cayman next week and all three items will be making the trip with me. Can’t wait to put the socks on needles

I got mine on Friday. I had been out of town for a week so was glad it was late. I kept thinking it was just sitting in the PO waiting for me to pick it up. I LOVE The color and the pattern. We shall see if I make it up in the pattern or in my favorite ‘don’t have to think about it or read a pattern’ sock. I like to have plenty of idiot (no reading a pattern-just knit away) knitting on hand. don’t ask me how much stash I have please.

Got it in the Heartland! Looking good there Rosie! Love the pictures in the pattern.

This month’s yarn makes me think of an old Welsh’s commercial with famous actor (whose name escapes me: played Maverick) and little kid sitting on a porch and the flavor was “Gra-ple”. Love that descriptive language.

Now to get Serendipity off the needles (down to the last toe) and this one cast on.

Happy birthday month Tina! Mine was a bit over a week ago so while we don’t quite share zodiac signs (I’m on the cusp) we do share the month. Happy Knitting, Spinning and Dyeing, Alice

Just arrived here in Peterborough, England - found my Mum (who lives around the corner) chatting up the Parcelforce chap (quite dishy!) who assumed I would be at work so had delivered it to her. Good job she isnt a sock knitter or I might never have seen it!
Absolutely my favourite colour, Tina, totally thrilled!

Another just landed in UK this morning, in Lancashire - it arrived in the same delivery as my Dr Who Dalek cookie jar, and as Tina mentioned the Tardis in her dyer’s notes I thought that was quite appropriate! And the Dalek looks as if it would make an excellent stash overflow hiding place - he (I think/assume!?) will defend my gorgeous new club yarn - my favourite so far, and the pattern is equally amazing - thanks so much x

It’s the day for the English deliveries - mine’s arrived here in Yorkshire. I managed to avoid all of the spoilers, so it was a great surprise. The pattern looks amazing - just a few wips to get out of the way, and I’m casting on!

I got…..an email telling me the kit got shipped back to BMFA due to paperwork issues. Cleopatra still has her tricks it seems, I blame this *all* on her! But I am happy to know where it is and well I know what the kit is all about. I have learned to be a patient person when it comes to overseas shipments. I will let you know when mine has arrived, probably one of the last….(hey really I am not sad or anything, really)

comment from Sue Readd

Received the new sock and love the color. Am STILL working on sock #1, but I tend to take my time on these things and enjoy the process. Being surrounded with beautiful yarn and knowing I have another project to start when this is done suits me fine. I have a little knitting bag I put my yarn, etc in when I have to travel where I know I will have a wait or time to work on it. In May I took my project to an Agriculture Show (we are farmers living in rural America) and while 4H was showing animals I sat in the bleachers and worked on the sock. You get curious people stopping to watch and many ask questions so its a good opportunity to spread the word on knitting. The questions have increased in recent years due to the popularity of knitting but I am amazed at how many tell me they would never tackle socks, they must be hard! Maybe, but when you are addicted to making them the challenge of new patterns and ideas is a treat.

Hi got mine yesterday on 3rd. I love the colour but this one is going to my daughter. I have just started to knit and colour is coming very well. I am not using this pattern since she wanted another pattern but I will try it with my STR stash!

Got mine today. I was out of town and had my mail stopped until today, so who knows when it would have actually arrived. I love the colors! It is beautiful and the pattern is intriguing! My tag said, “purple people eater”, does that mean anything??

I returned home from a family reunion a couple days ago to find that my package containing the three 2008 sock kits and my binder had arrived the day after we left. Thankfully we had someone staying at the house and she brought the package in. All three kits are awesome and I can’t wait to get started on them…after I finish my Cedar Creeks.
