We’re Late, We’re Late
for a very important date,
No time to say hello, goodbye,
We’re late, We’re late, We’re late
and when we cry,
we lose time to dye.
Our yarn took us too much time to bundle. We stumble and then we twist, twist, twist.
Wishing that we could fly.
There’s danger if we dare to miss and here’s the reason why,
(you see) we are overdue and in a bit of a USPS stew. Can’t even knit a stitch or two. We’re late, We’re late, We’re late.
Good morning dearest NSK’s
We’d love to stop and chatter,
but in six or seven hours we must meet with the hatter
the mad, mad, mad, mad Hatter.
We must chat about not printing stamps when raising postal prices, a very important matter.
We are off to see the queen of socks
who lives up in the palace,
and the very moment we are through with her
We have got a date with Alice.
We can’t be late for Alice, from the heartland or the one with malice.
We’re late, just a wee bit late!
International kits are shipping today and some went yesterday. The rest of them will not leave here until Tuesday next week.
I am very sorry for this delay! The fates have been working against us on this one.
thanks for your understanding and patience!
a wee bit down but certainly not defeated
team blue moon
p.s. For those pdx sock clubbers we will be at Twisted this evening for a bit of knit relief.
Notorious Sock Knitters | May 20, 2008
No matter how much I knit, I can never seem to get the initial join right. It’s either always gappy or strangely crossed. Sometimes it’s better if I’m knitting on DPNs but sometimes not. My normal method is to cast on one extra stitch, slip the slip-knot stitch over to the needle with the working yarn, then start off knitting what would normally be the second stitch as the first stitch in the round. Then, when I get to the end, I knit the last two stitches together (one of them being the slip-knot stitch). Clear as mud? I’m guessing there has to be a better way. I’ve tried others, but still seem to get a gap, no matter how tightly I pull the yarn. Does anyone have a magic solution?
General Knitting Questions | May 20, 2008
I’m having trouble with my sock monket kit. I’m just not getting joining in the round with only six stitches. For some reason I just can’t do it. I can’t tell if I am twisted, and I make a lot of socks, so joining is not new to me. Any suggestions to help?

I am deeply ashamed (and excited as well, since I’m finally getting to it) to admit that I am just starting my March pair. Moving, job, and all those pesky life things got in the way of knitting. Can’t wait to see the new yarn, though. I may cry if it’s yellow, since it will remind me of a moving truck….:-) (Edit: Title added by Blog Mom Alice)

Yes, it is that time of the month already. If you have not already sent in a change of address as some have, please do. Like now!
We will start shipping next week.
That is after we dig ourselves out of them oh, so massive monkey mayhem.
Any thoughts on what color is coming your way?? What could be coming in May?
hmm….
