Don’t you just love the fact that our survey sight is called Survey Monkey? I know I do.
It is going to be one of those days can you feel it?
So here is our first, if a wee bit belated, survey of the year. My hope here is to gain more knowledge to better serve and to enlighten us all.
Thanks for your time in filling this out! Yes I will post the results.

hehehe…Off to go fill out that survey monkey !!!
Done - but you should have had a ‘don’t care’ option for toe-up/top-down choice and heel structure choice. I love all of them and want to learn more!!!!! Thanks for all the variety.
Susan
Oh, dear… I may have given you entirely more information than you actually wanted…!
Tina, I was unable to enter my guess for the contest because I email came back as a banned sender.
oh dear
I will fix it on the morrow ok??
Oh great another monkey to get off my back. Soon soon but not tonight. Alice
Liked the survey but need an “all of the above” choice for many of the questions. This sock club is the best Christmas Present I ever recieved.
Susan, which ones?
Ohh, you cannot go back in. Can you just give me an example s I am sure I am on the same page as you are.
Tina,
You needed a question about why did you join the club in the first place. I joined to learn new things and get out of my comfort zones - which I have definitely been pushed out that box many times. Also, I have learned to love colors that I would have never ever considered buying for myself and now love/adore.
Thanks for all the hard work/effort that goes into this club. I will second Susan’s comment about the best Christmas present I ever gave myself.
Tina, is there a way for us to contact members in our local area? I would love to meet up with other members in the Denver area to work on my socks. It’s always more fun with others. Also I was in Alaska visiting our son and of course looked for knit shops. I was in Far North Knits in Anchorage and found out that I had missed a local BMFA member by a day! By the way this is a great and friendly shop!
Tina,
Sorry I did not respond…..but left town for the weekend. I guess I wanted “all of the above” some of the questions because I am so exploring and learning new sock things all of the time so it is hard for me to decide which technique I like because it often depends on the sock and my mood. This sock club has made me a raving sock maniac so its all good.
Tina - one of the “all of above” would involve needles used ie DPNs, 2circs, and ML. (I use all three but prefer not to use ML - the others just work better for me.)
Patty get a date in mind and a place then do a post here and on Ravelry Socks That Rawk group if you’re a member there. Last year a couple of “groups” got started because May was a month with a Blue Moon. I met 2 other members kind of from my area and still knit with one of them and a nice group of others at a not so local yarn shop (45 minute drive sans flood). Good luck getting a group together. Oh you can also try the website Meetup.com
Happy Knitting, Alice
I second Alice on technique. 100%
You do the work, share a bit about your creative process AND get it to me.
All I do is knit them. Pretty perfect IMHO.
Being somewhat a traditionalist, I have learned a great deal, the main thing that has stumped me is Cat Bordhi’s concept..I know once I get her class, I’ll be alright..time. I am not giving up.
