Hey, Cece, I took a fully nursing 3-month-old to New Orleans (had a meeting, my mom came with to help); then a month later took her to New York for a huge family thing. Totally do-able, and it’s not like you wouldn’t have about 100 willing babysitters/baby-snugglers! She did great, no problems.

Depends on the baby, but 3 months is actually a good time to travel; they’ve got eating down, sleep is fairly regulated, no stranger anxiety yet, they smile a lot, they’re still small and relatively light. They have a lot of ’stuff’, at any age, though. You may need some help with that!

Granted, it may not be easy to convince your husband of all this — but you can tell him from me!

And I’m totally planning on being at camp again too! I’m taking my knitting to Family Camp this summer, but it’s just not the same when you’re the only knitter at camp….

Count me in! Can I put it on layaway? This will be hard. I really want to go on Cat Bordhi’s Floating retreat. When is the camp so I can put more money in the jar. I figure if I start now I can swing it- i hope I hope I hope.

I’m so wanting a knitting getaway (from it all!!!)

Cece I traveled from Hartford CT to Omaha NE with a 5 month old and a just turned 2 year old (the one getting married) even had to change planes at O’Hell. So it can be done. (Luckily DH followed later and helped with the flight home.) Happy Knitting, Alice

I’m hoping I can make it to camp again next year. I can’t imagine not going. I have to start saving now. It would be a big help to me too if the week of sock camp didn’t include April 17th — it will be difficult to explain/justify to the DH why I can’t be home for our 5th Anniversary. ;o)
