Announcements, Camp Crows Feet | August 23, 2008
The camp projects that have been done in the past two years haunt me. The chickens and the TP holders. They are so wonderful and I think that they should be seen and appreciated.
I have mentioned this to some gallery friends and have been playing with putting together an installation to show at appropriate museums. Before I go further into this project I thought I should check in with you to see if you are interested at all.
The only drawback I see is that you would need to part with your lovely creations or knit another.
Please respond here in the comments and then email me tina@bluemoonfiberarts.com if you are interested.
thanks all
I hope everyone is enjoying this last blast of summer vacation.

Love that idea! WOuld love to see them altogether!
Bob Orcas is ready for duty.
Ed is ready willing and specially abled!
No problem! I have Stariel’s from the game and mine. If Stariel doesn’t mind, I’ll send off both.
I think it’s a great idea. My socktopus and chicken are packing their bags!
Great idea otherwise mine with just sit in the stash room waiting for the next camp.
I’ll send you my chickens. They need to get out more anyway.
Mr. Dirty Bird is ready to hit the road with his newspaper and bird porn, if he doesn’t offend anybody!
I’m really torn. The idea is great and I would love for Edgar to be giggled at by loads more people, but I can’t bear the thought of parting with him and the House of Flusher.
I don’t know who made the TP holder that I got in the swap this yar, but I’ll happily send it along so all the world can see.
The TP trout is ready for a trip….
Mine was given away in the swap. Depending on timing, I could recreate the Hanging Flower Pot(ty), although I would have to sub some other yarns for those supplied since I used them up. By the way, the charity blanket is coming along. I hope to send it back to you by the holidays.
Would love to see them all together again. I’ll send mine - it’s just sort of ordinary and not as creative as some of the others.
Susan gave me the TP cover she won in the swap, and I will happily send it along.
Apparently Susan cared more about taking her yarn purchases home, even though I assured her that I’d take good care of her STR. I wonder why she didn’t believe me?
I would love to see them all! You’ll have to let us know where/when!
I’m in! Let me know if you want me to send and when! Celia had mentioned sending hers in, so I’ll see if she has done it yet or not-maybe we can combine our shipment!
I’m not sure I’d be entirely willing to send my chicken out into the world. If I’m given enough time I would be willing to knit another one though.
As Jen said, I needed to take my STR home (plus the many knitting books I bought in Portland), so I dismantled my own project and discarded the mushroom, only taking home the creatures that had lived on the mushroom. Jen was left with the rather wonderful creation that I won in the game. I would be happy to knit another toadstool and reattach the creatures which I still have - it won’t be exactly the same but near enough, maybe better!.
My TP cover was not that special so I’d be willing to part with it if you should want it, but it pales in comparison to the others. My chicken, Roddy McPhowl, I have to keep. I didn’t take notes as I created him and without the same scraps, I seriously doubt I could possibly recreate/capture another with the same charm. He is one of a kind and will sit proudly in my project room whenever it is finished.
