Announcements, Warning Spoilage | September 19, 2008
dearest international sock club members,
I am very sorry but because of knit circumstance beyond our control ( this is the story I am sticking with) everything went to press a bit later than planned. This means that the few day head start your packages usually get will not be possible this time.
We are starting shipping on Monday the 22nd with your packages. The domestic ones start to their journey on Tuesday.
So if we could be extra careful about spoilage and also not looking where we know it will be visible, that would be lovely.
thanks!
September Kit Questions, Warning Spoilage | September 27, 2008
I would like to add 2″ of ribbing to the top of my socks and am knitting the size small. Would I have enough yarn?

I don’t think this will be a spoiler, truly, any more than Tina’s Under The Sea hints! (You just have to SEE the gorgeous yarn in person; it’s hard to imagine, no matter how many hints you get.) My label says, “Perigean Tide”! I had to think a second; my first thought was, where’s Perigea? But then I remembered the word perigee and realized it was probably related, duh. Google says Yes! Vocabulary building with my new lovely sock yarn & pattern, love it. So what’s your label say this month?

I’m amongst friends….thanks for your newest letter, I’m only halfway thru it, and laughing while alone…I didn’t know there were others in the world that experience life like me. Thanks for making me feel so welcome, now I have to finish the rest of the story…

It’s been on Yarn Harlot, all over the boards that count on Ravelry, and on the official BMFA blog so it’s time to add it here.
Calling all Notorious Sock Knitters:
Next August 6-9 in Portland Oregon there’s going to be a Sock Summit. Kind of like sock camp for the masses. I’m thinking Stitches or Maryland Sheep and Wool or Rhinebeck just for sock knitters. They’re taking teachers teaching, vendors selling, and sock knitters from all over gathering in one spot for just a bit of sock knitting.
I don’t do links very well so if this crashes head over to Yarn Harlot’s blog for September 23 or read Tina’s BMFA blog.

Looks like a great time brewing the back rooms of Scappoose. Happy Knitting all, Alice
