Notorious Sock Knitters the club information for next year is up on the Blue Moon site. I am really, really excited about this year, like little kid jump up and down kind of excited. Also a little unable to sleep at night excited, so go look and you will see why. So very cool!
If you have any questions you can put them here in the comments or email us at the usual place.
I tried my very best to keep the pricing down. We had yarns prices go up and postage this year and the USPS is going to raise it again in January so… . I think we might need to invest in a Blue Moon delivery service of some sort, maybe we can call it the sock express.
Anyway it is there and the purchase part will be active on the 15th of December and there is plenty of room so no worries ok?
I have this sneaking suspicion that it is going to be an over the top year sock wise.

Woohoo, I am so excited. One question on the registration, is it going to be open to everyone immediately or will current club members have an opportunity to sign up first as in prior years?
I’m excited!! Now, I’ve just got to get these last 2 kits from this year knit up!!

Okay, now where to get creative with the budget!!! This is proving irresistible…i should have known better….Must find cash to buy yarn. Must must must. Must resist online sale to join 2009 club. Must must must. (I don’t do well with temptation of this magnitude.) Oh Tina, this is worse than a big box of chocolate!
I can’t wait for this!!!! This year was my first year and I was so happy with it! Now I’m jump up and down excited too!!!

The “flyer” says that Cookie a., Cat Bordhi, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, JC Briar, Anna Zilboorg, Sivia Harding and Melissa Morgan-Oakes will be starring in this years club. All of them? So do we know our pattern designers ahead of time? Has this happened before? 2008 was my first year.
this has not happened before. we are trying some new approaches and this is one of them. You do not know when they are coming in the yearly lineup (well except for Sivia) so that element is still a surprise.
And another curiosity….there are seven designers, and six kits…..

Oh NO! I’m so excited about next year! Yay!
And YES these are in fact our designers for the year. Last year they were listed AS designers we worked with throughout the years in the club. This list here for 2009 is set in stone, that would be rock!
I am soooooooo excited! I’m in for another year (thank goodness we don’t pay until January). The designer line-up is FABULOUS!!! One of my favorite club sock patterns is the one Sivia Harding designed for RSC 2006, out of Mustang Sally with the bit of cabling and beads. Oh, I so hope her January pattern includes beads. Beads is my other obsession… Can’t wait!
Many carriers (UPS, USPS, FedEx) will give you discounts if you have SCHEDULED, properly labeled shipments - which you do. The only problem is getting to a human to discuss, but it’s well worth a try. I would figure you’d like tracking and insurance on all these, they can negotiate with you.
Do current members get to sign up first????

Just the logo alone is AMAZING!
And then I see the designer line-up — and my little sock-yarn-lovin’ heart quivers with excitement!

Thank you Tina I was worried because Iam a nurse and on call alot so I can’t always get to a computer at a specfic time. I miss out on alot of stuff that way.

OMG!!! If I were anymore excited I would…? I just told my husband that both Manning brothers, Tiki Barber, and Phil Mikelson are designing socks for the club next year. For a second he was excited as I am. Then I told him to change the names to awesome knitting designers that he didn’t know. He was a little disappointed but for just a split second, he got it! I am still super excited!!! Way to go, Tina!!
Wow. Can’t wait. I was debating signing up again, not because the club isn’t fantastic, but because well….I”m a slow knitter.
But I can’t resist. It sounds like it will be SO MUCH FUN! I’m definitely in!

I’ve already decided I can never live without being a member after joining for the first time this year and I only completed Dragon Dance Serendipity!
But I wear them on our cold nights and my feet are never cold…so it’s just a matter of time to get all those lovely sock yarns knitted and worn…
If nothing else…just think of all the wonderful knitting projects I will have waiting on me when I retire!

WHEW!!!-it’s getting close to sign up day. I’m in a Xmas knitting rundown and already plotting 2009.
Thank goodness and Tina’s depravity - we will have extraordinary colors and patterns to look forward to. Cannot wait until 12/15 signup.
Tina - you go girl. When 7 equals 6, you have gone even where Einstein could not go!!. . . how awesome that the sock is reinventing the universe. Keep on driving this train.

Oh boy! 2009 here we come! I can hardly wait! Wooo Ooo!
Oh, I’m definitely in! I’ve only finished 3 of this year’s kits (but hey, I still have time before January, right?).
But I’m also wondering about Sock Camp? (And what kind of homework can Tina come up with this theme?!)
Wooo hooo! Love the theme, gotta have a shirt, or better yet, we could just get big iron-ons and put them on the shirt of our choice, ourselves? Then we could choose whatever T, tank, or sweatshirt (depending on our personal climate zones… can you tell I began the cycle of the personal climate zone in 2008?) works for us…
Am ready to sign on… I am hoping for Sock Summit, Sock Camp can’t happen for me this year, either, but Sock Club and Sock Summit are definitely a GO for me. 2009, here we go, notoriously, of course!

I am getting a “surprise”, NOT, Christmas present. Can anyone guess what it is? I am so excited!! Can’t wait unitl January, but I hope it doesn’t come too quickly. Need to finish Christmas knitting then the last edition of RCS 2008. Cheers to all and have a happy and holy Christmas!
