Wearing socks inside shoes

Ok I guess I don’t completely get this part of the pattern, why would you not wear these inside shoes?? So if you were only going to wear these with sandals you would knit the beads through the entire pattern?

People might use these as house socks, or as a gift for someone in a wheelchair. Or, your shoes might be fairly open on top, like a lot of dress shoes that people will still wear socks with for work.
I have to admit, I was thinking the same thing. But my concern is about the beads on the ankle, I’m sure that would annoy the heck out of me in my shoes! I think it’s a beautiful pattern and I really am torn as to wether to go ahead and knit them with the beads, but probably not wear them or to knit without the beads and wear all the time… I love the colorway, I’m a die hard Seattle Mariner’s fan and this is perfect M’s yarn, even better than the “offical” STR Mariner’s colorway!
Milly, you made my day! i don’t have mine yet but I too am a die hard Mariners fan and since this is the first time I’ve not looked at a spoilers, well, this is the best “spoiler” you could have given me. If I”m right, mine comes today!! Anything that’s a perfect M’s yarn is going to be perfect for me…but what is this STR Mariners colorway? Have I just totally overlooked that on the website? Is it called Mariners??? I thought I knew most of the colorways….Help Milly, Help Tina–tell me more….And thanks again Milly—from one diehard Mariners fan to another!
Hi Deb! The M’s colorway is called SeaMar and I think it’s specially dyed for Tricoter. I got it during the LYS tour last spring and I noticed they had it during stitch n pitch too. Tina also does Husky and Cougar colorways for them!!! It’s so awesome to have a LYS that carries STR so we can actually see the colorways in person. I’m sure you’ll adore this month’s kit!
