I am so loving this pattern and the colorway and the beads…oh the beads - SO MUCH FUN! Here are a couple of pics (with and without flash) of my WIP which is going so fast! I’ve never knit socks this fast. I might actually be done by the end of the week!

these are gorgeous! i’m still waiting for my floss threader so i can cast on, but i cannot wait! are you going to put beads all the way down the pattern? if not, where are you stopping? i love this yarn, and the pattern is so beautiful! glad to hear that it’s going quickly. what size needles are you using? and how hard are you finding the pattern?
i can’t decide between going all the way down and stopping after the leg part. if i want to wear them with shoes i will have to stop at the leg part but i really dont’ think i’ll like it without the beads…decisions, decisions! LOL.
i’m using 2.5mm needles and the pattern is very easy - i’ve got it practically memorized. it is also very easy to see where you are in the pattern just by seeing which stitches were last twisted.
Good questions, Lisa!!!
I am using 00 and feel that maybe I should have gone smaller. Anyo0ne else on such small needles???
I am almost finished with the cuff and would love to hear if anyone has finished one with beads all the way and how it feels - Anyone there, yet???
and, yes, the pattern is GREAT to follow. Having read so many of the early blogs before I started helped alot - I implemented everyone’s helpful hints.
oh, i don’t have any 00s! i have 0s, which i hope will give me gauge. i got my threaders today, so i’m just sitting down to try my hand at bead-stringing. i have a pretty bad tremor, so i’m a bit nervous about how that’s going to go
How do you avoid all the knots and twisting of the yarn doing two socks on two circulars??
They look GREAT!
Thanks Jennifer! you just have to keep untwisting the yarn every few rounds so that prevents the twisting which in turn prevents the knots. i just grab the two yarns from the ball and start separating until i get to the needles where the whole thing starts spinning to get the twist out. (i hope that made sense)
Looking wonderful! I haven’t cast these on yet, I’ve got 2 other pairs that I was commissioned to make to finish, then watch out!
