Not Socks, Notorious Sock Knitters, Warning Spoilage | February 24, 2009
After much ripping, re-knitting and Tina’s discovery of the matching beads at Madrona. (Silly me, left mine at home, thanks again Tina!!!) I now have my fingerless mitts out of the Jan 2009 club yarn
I knew I wouldn’t wear beaded socks and the pattern cried out to be mitts.  I’m not the best at modifying patterns so I’m impressed that they actually fit!  This is also my first beaded project so there was a small learning curve.  I  made a short cuff because I hate stuffing cuffs under my coat sleeves.

soooo pretty
Sivia do you see these?
They are beautiful!
I did the same thing (and had the same issues), but I made my cuff just a little bit longer and the fingers a little bit shorter than you did. They are just right for me and I love them. I have also had quite a few people comment on how pretty they are, the gloves are much easier to show off all the pretty yarn, stitch pattern and beads!
Very nice!
I see and I love! And I think you all know what a sucker I am for fingerless gloves…
These are so pretty! I have (kinda/sorta) decided that beaded socks are not in my future, so I haven’t made mine yet. These mitts are tempting me…
I turned my kit into fingerless gloves too, but then I ordered some more yarn and am knitting socks per the pattern. In a couple more days I should have matching socks and fingerless gloves, lol. LOVE the pattern and the beads!
Lovely, I am going to make those next!
Wow, I’m a little behind. Just finished the socks and was saying to a fellow knitter that I want to make fingerless mitts with the same pattern. Just logged in today (May 5th)! and saw yours….they are awesome!
