January '09 Kit Questions, Warning Spoilage | March 30, 2009
Hello NSK’s! I’m having a little bit of trouble, can anyone assist me?
1) Tubular Cast On - I’ve follow the instructions 4 times and end up with the appropriate 80 stitches and then after joining in the round (knit/purl/knit/purl) I end up with 82 stitches, I must be missing something. Has this happened to anyone?
- I switched to a Long tail cast on… and then…
2) I had 80 Cast On stiches, did my 10 rows of knit/purl/knit/purl. Moving to the leg, there are 72 stitches, Do I need to decrease equally or am I missing something?
Thank you NSK’s!
Wendy

What pattern are you working on?
Oh, sorry. The January 2009 Pattern
The decreases happen in the first row of the pattern with the p2tog in between the beads: each set of 10 stitches is reduced to 9, which becomes the pattern repeat.
Thank You Karalee! I was re-reading the pattern this morning, feeling a little dumb. I figured it out on the communite into town! I am brilliant too, I was so pleased when I figured it out! Wahoo!
Can’t believe I didn’t see that one. Thanks for all your help!
Communite = Addicted Sock Knitter blogging during my team meeting at work, bad, bad. I meant to say COMMUTE, but we were talking about being a “united” team at the time. Too Funny.
