Just got home from Oregon Flock and Fiber,it is a beautiful and sunny fall day. I have to say thank you Blue Moon for all your wonderful work . I bought some amazing yarn and opened my door to discover the mail man brought this month’s kit. Wow! Christmas in September. Tina you are a color wizard and I can’t wait to knit a Cat design. Well, I had many guesses about the name but, duh ,I never thought of that one. The photos are as beautiful as the yarn. Thank you all for all you do so we can smile and knit as fast as we can!

Wow! I just got mine here in NE, which surprises me immensely as we usually seem to be at the end of the mail run. Lovely yarn…the colors are not ones I’d normally give a second glance, so it’s nice to have them as the sock club shipment, forces me to explore something new!

Love the yarn and the pattern, wonderful! Can’t wait to cast on but postponed until tomorrow due to hectic social life.
It was a wonderful surprise receiving it as I hadn’t had any mail notification, (not that I need it).

Oh, I thought mine would be here since some in Washington and Oregon received theirs, but sadly I have to be more patient for it to arrive. I had to take a peek, though. My curiosity got the best of me to see how close my guess was in the ‘Dyer is In’. I think I did pretty well. It was fun! I’m excited to see it in person!

Arrived safe and sound in Oakdale, CA. Didn’t check the band yet, just hugged the yarn. Lucious, yummy! Will wind it tomorrow and set up to knit 2 at once, I think. Any problems that anyone can see with knitting 2 at once on 2 circulars? I have yet to check out the pattern. Knit on!!!

Mine arrived yesterday afternoon (Saturday) and I absolutely love it! The yarn is amazing and is probably my favourite one so far. The colours are just beautiful and I’m in awe of Tina’s gift for creating these amazing combinations of colour. And I can’t wait to try one of Cat’s constructions for the first time!
Thanks so much for another amazing kit!!

Oh Tina! I received my September shipment and I have to say it is absolutely perfect! I had written on your blog about my gravitation to the fall-like colors when I was at Sock Summit (rather than my usual blues and purples). It is my favorite season with the brilliant fall foliage, crisp clear days, walks in the woods, cider and apple picking, and the smell of woodsmoke in the air. I thought about my favorite things when I read your hint that the colorway was of your favorite things. It appears we may be kindred spirits. :-)
This months shipment speaks to my heart and I can’t wait to start knitting it up. Cat’s pattern and the colorway compliment each other so well. Thanks again for feeding my color soul.

I got mine yesterday as well and I LOVE IT! I posted pics in my stash on Ravelry. Mine says “Quartz” on the ballband. I’ll be casting on tonight. Thank you, Tina!!

I also love love the pattern and colorway. They are definitely my colors and I am about 2 inches into the sock. But - this is the first skein of NSK yarn that has a lot of places where one of the plies is loose frequently. So I have a lot of little ends. Has anyone else gotten far enough to notice this, or is it just me?

Mine arrived sometime over the weekend while I was out of town attending a quilt retreat…what a treat to come home to after treating myself to a get away weekend without husband and kids!!

Tina - I have to say that I am absolutely *gobsmacked* by this yarn. The colorway is simply amazing. I’ve been knitting on the socks today and I keep stopping, looking, stopping, looking. Totally, completely and utterly over the moon on this one. And, special kudos to Cat for the pattern! They’re working together beautifully.

So wow I would not have predicted that this one would be so well loved. Which is funny you know, because I love it and if I feel like I am good at my job and that you are here because I am good at my job then well does it not stand to reason… Must be that tricky self esteem thing that rears its head every now and then.

I am thrilled that everyone loves this as much as I do. I love it when my notorious bunch are happy.

Man oh man I am so psyched to see this month’s yarn in person! I have felt that way about every single one of the selections so far though. I have a feeling that my delivery person was a snail or three-toed sloth in a previous life, because my package is taking forever to arrive! Has anybody else in Canada or outside the US received their yarn yet? augh! The anticipation is driving me crazy. At least I have some other STR socks to work on in the meantime. Maybe today will be my lucky day!
Thank you Tina and every else at Blue Moon for doing such a great job! I am off to go and wait some more for my September socks.

Tina, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your gift of color with us. This is my 2nd year in sock club, and you have opened my eyes to colors that I didn’t know I was drawn to. This month, however, you tapped into my brain and designed the perfect color for me. Wow! Thank you! I can’t wait to start knitting!

On Saturday the 26th, I spent more than 10 hours in a car driving to/from an out-of-state funeral. When I arrived home at almost midnight…spent and tired and emotionally drained…I found the package on my kitchen table. I opened it up and thought the colorway was lovely and very calming. Thanks for a more subtle effect this time…it is soothing, much like running water.

I was just reading this when a knock came at the door. Mine has just arrived (Omemee, ON) - now I guess I better hurry up and catch up. ;P I too like the colours. I haven’t had a chance to wind it yet, but I noticed, unlike previous skeins, this ones definately got some significant overtwist to the spinning - just in case you wish to yell at the mill again :) The pattern looks great too! Thanks.

I’ve just got mine in Germany! Lovely colours! Thank you Tina! And the pattern looks great!

Yay! Mine finally arrived here in Ottawa! And just like in the previous months, I love the colours. The pattern looks a bit challenging though, so I am going to have to read over the instructions a few times before I start. I will definitely be learning some more mad knitting skillz though! Thanks for this months installment Tina and Co. I do want to mention though that on first inspection, my yarn seems to have a fair number of spots with a significant overtwist to the spinning too. I haven’t wound the yarn yet, so I haven’t seen any schlubby parts or knots, and I can deal with the overtwist, but I thought that I should let you know Tina. I still love the yarn though! My ballband says Jasper, by the way. Love that jasper!
