Mothballs!
Notorious Sock Knitters | October 26, 2009
This question is not directly rockin’ sock related, but still important. My mom handed over some handkint sweaters et al that my mom wore as a girl. They’ve been in mothballs since…. well, my mom is now 65! Any hints on how to get the stench out? I’d like my daughter to be able to wear them sometime before 2025.

my mom used to put her mothball woolies out in the sun. it may take more than 1 day though. remember to bring them in at night though (lest you find them wet with dew in the morning).
