Squigggle Fraggle bubbles

I am just now making my Squiggle Fraggle socks. Yarn overs are not my greatest strength, so I find that I need to rip out some of the rows when I make an error. Can anyone tell me how to rip out the bubble stitches? I always seem to lose at least one stitch. I’m sure it has to do with passing the 3rd stitch over the first 2 and doing an yo in the middle of 2 knits. If I can’t figure it out, I think I will try another pattern with the yarn. However, it would be wonderful to use the Sqiggle Fraggle pattern.

To undo a bubble, try this: Unknit to the bubble. With the right side facing you, unknit a knit stitch, drop the yarn over off the right needle, and unknit another knit stitch. You’ll have two stitches on your left needle, with a strand wrapped around them. Use your right needle to pick this strand up and put it on your left needle, to the left of those two stitches. This ought to undo one bubble.

Remember, too, that if you’re knitting along and realize you forgot to yarn over on the previous row, or put a yarn over where one didn’t belong, you can “fake it” on the next row, without unknitting or ripping back. Create an “afterthought” yarn over by working to where you should’ve yarn-overed on the previous row, pick up the strand of yarn between the two needles, place this strand on the left needle, and knit into it. Or work to an unnecessary yarn over, and simply drop it off your left needle. The fabric will be a tad too tight or too loose where you fixed the goof, but this unevenness will literally disappear in the wash when you block your socks.

JC,

Thanks so much for your comment. I’m starting to rip out a row now and will give it a try. I will also try your other suggestion before I start to rip next time.
I really want to use this pattern,
