———————————————————————————————————————————
A kind of sort of guessing game. A game where we all will have to work together.
Here it is; You know those sometimes silly, often themed but maybe random names on the inside of the skein bands of your yarn?
Yeah those. May’s shipments certainly are themed (Cartoony) and each one of them go with a blue moonie.
So the name of the game is which cartoon goes with which blue moonie.
I will supply you with the list of Blue Moonie’s but you guys have to collect all the cartoon names and match them.
The first 6 people to do this win a Rare Gem Skein in lightweight or mediumweight yarn.
The first person wins the chance to work with me (depravedyer) in creating and naming a colorway.
Here are the rules: Starts today at 12:00 PDT and goes until June 15th at 12:00 PDT.
Below you will find a picture of team Blue Moon so you have visual.
Most of you do not know a lot about out team members but some of you do and the sockateers do so your going to have to be creative in finding this info. out.
Kind of a treasure hunt.
Team blue moon will give little clues in the comments here in the next 48 hours. (Note to self: remember to tell the barn girls this little tidbit).
Post your guesses here. PLEASE do not email them to the sock club email. Only ones here in the comments will count.
From left to right we have; Anneli, Becky, Debra, Joann,Paula, Rosebud and me. (Actually that is Claire who went back to her family in the UK. Just pretend it’s me)
Ok my lovely NSK’s Game ON!

Stripes v. Pools

January '08 Kit Questions | March 18, 2008
By Gayle in California

Hey, did Dragon Dance stripe for everybody?  Every picture I’ve seen shows stripes.  Mine striped and I’m glad.  But, isn’t it a curiosity that this yarn hasn’t pooled?  (If you’ve got a “pooler”, post some pics so we all can see!)

By Illanna

march 11 004I finished my Dragon Dance socks and I love love love them. It was the first time I ever worked with STR Lightweight. I didn’t use the pattern because I was so happy with the way the yarn was striping and I didn’t want to break it up. I definitely will try the pattern another time though. There are more pictures and information on my blog! It’s a shameless plug, but there really are more pictures there!

Any updates for Serendipity?

January '08 Kit Questions | March 16, 2008
By Mary

I figured the real advantage of waiting til March 16th to start my January socks was that pattern updates would be available - but I’ve searched here and on ravelry and haven’t found any.  Did come across some very helpful tips for short row heels (these will be my first, so that’s much appreciated!) and clarification around placement of the heel/foot stitches and starting the star toe on round 4 (for a size M).  But that’s it - are there really no updates?  Thanks!

A little help with directions for star toe, please….

January '08 Kit Questions | February 27, 2008
By Ann Foultz

I am a little confused by the directions. I understand where to PM for beginning round well enough, than knit 2 rounds even, ok, got it. But….It says star toe starting with round 4 shape as follows. OK….it tells you what to do for the first 3 rounds for the size large, then jumps to all sizes starting at round 4. What about the first 3 rounds for size small and medium? Is there something missing from the directions? ETA by Alice

Star Toe confusion

JANUARY KIT QUESTIONS | MARCH 07, 2008By JaneLindbergI have survivied thus far but now I’m confused at the start of the toe -  I am knitting the medium size and have 33 and 36 stitiches  (total of 69 stitiches) and after completing Round 4 I have 3 left over stitiches and don’t know what I’mn supposed to do with them.  What’s gone wrong?? The math just doesn’t work out. Please help.

January '08 Kit Questions | February 26, 2008

Does anybody have an opinion on the stretch-ability of STR lightweight ‘DragonDance’? Sock #2 is almost done and before I rip back #1’s a bit too tight toe….just wondering. Any and all insight appreciated.
