I am so loving this pattern and the colorway and the beads…oh the beads - SO MUCH FUN! Here are a couple of pics (with and without flash) of my WIP which is going so fast! I’ve never knit socks this fast. I might actually be done by the end of the week!

Uggh, please help. I just strung 180 of 200 beads and went to push them down only to be stopped by a knot! My only consolation at this point is that I didn’t find the knot after knitting 3 inches into the cuff. However, I have to unstring, cut a foot or so of yarn and start over - KNOT Ha! the end of the world but frustrating and making me look at the wound ball with skepticism! What if it happens again - what will I do?
Hey veterans - don’t leave me hanging and don’t tell me to cut and start over. How’s that for a challenge?!?

-Definatly get the floss threaders. Â I tried glue, nail polish, and a regular beading needle with beading string. Â They work Ok, but, you have to reapply and the beading string is not strong enough, the yarn ply separates, my left eye starts to twitch … Â Flossers work the best. Â Walgreens, CVS, Rite-Aid, 2.99$ Â GO GET THEM!!!!!
- Use a pair of pliers, I used surgical hemostats, to grasp your flosser, the extra grip helps to tug the beads down. Â The more beads you thread the easier it gets, I guess the yarn gets squished down.
-Getting the beads on the yarn was driving me to drink, but are so worth the effort when you see them sparkling  in the pattern, so hang in there!
-Sivia’s tubular cast on, found on her webpage, works great. Â Use a highly contrasting waste yarn so you can see the purl bumps. Â I like this a lot, clean and stretchy!
-To quote someone else, STR Rock!!! Â Fab and Glam as usual! Great way to start the year. Â Sock ON!
-I think I am hooked on beads… what else can I put them on….

I am a new member. Is there something that I am missing about the sock emergency yarn? I am assuming that you just carry it around to be cool?

Ok I guess I don’t completely get this part of the pattern, why would you not wear these inside shoes?? So if you were only going to wear these with sandals you would knit the beads through the entire pattern?

I couldn’t find a needle that would  work with  both the beads and the yarn.  I haven’t used a floss threader since my braces came off 20 years ago.  So here’s what I did.
I took a drop of white glue and rolled the first inch of the yarn in it, rolling with the twist to make a nice sharp point. Â After a few minutes of drying, I had a satisfactory beading needle.

I got the kit yesterday - the yarn is amazing and I was so surprised to find the beads in it! Â I’m new to the club, and have only made three pairs of plain vanilla “Socks on Two Circulars” from Cat Bordhi, so this is an incredible challenge. Â However, I am up for trying it. Â It occurred to me, though, that I’d rather use two circulars, as that is the method I know best. Â What changes to the directions need to be made to permit this? Â Any help I can get would be great to get me going. Â Thanks.

ok- sounds silly to ask but is it really that simple to just add the beads one after the other before you cast on? Â Any tips for someone who has never knit with beads before?? Â How wonderful to see so much enthusiasm from all the people posting the day they got their package! Â I too had my heart rate go up a bit when I saw the mail van and heard the doorbell ring- just wish I could sit and knit knit knit - still have a backlog of other sock club shipments to get to as well.
