hi there Notorious Sock Knitters!
my name is Marjan, I live in the Netherlands. So now my Cleopatra found her way to you from my studio to your homes. She is in fact the result of my son playing with a lovely green organza ribbon. He wrapped it around a sock on a mannequin’s foot and it just looked beautiful. I tried how the slashing pattern traveled across the foot sole…. found out how it looked nicer when I doubled it on the upper foot, eliminating the foot sole pattern, cutting out excessive lace, letting the yarn do what it always does best: playing the starring role.

I’m soooo excited! Am I the first to get theirs? Live in Melbourne, Australia, so I’m usually way behind everyone else in the shipments.
 I love the colour btw. Can’t wait to start knitting this one up. The new pattern looks interesting too.

I am amazed that I looked at the back of the pattern many times and did not notice the face.  The first time my husband casually glanced at the pattern the face popped right out at him. We agreed it wasn’t an accident. Now I will have to go back to some of my other patterns and see if I can find any other visual jokes.
What does your (March) ball band say?
