Blue Moon is all about color, fiber (yarn), knitting (socks) and fun. Our goal for this blog is an interactive fun and informative place that adds to the club/community aspect of RSC.
We encourage sharing and advice on sock knitting, pattern adjustments or changes that you’ve made for your personal preference and fit, there may be others with the same needs
We ask that you keep posts on topic
Please do not advertise
Play nice. We welcome and value your opinion. We ask that you please be aware of how you phrase it. Words are powerful tools and easy to misinterpret
Contests are for members only. Please read each individual contest guidelines thoroughly
We have the right to moderate and delete posts and comments if necessary.
Try to be respectful of each other’s time and give some thought to whether you really need to start a new post, or if what you want to say is actually a response to an existing one. For instance, if you want to let people know you’ve received your yarn or not for a particular kit, look for a recent post where that conversation is already going on and participate by leaving a comment rather than starting a new post. It keeps the blog easy to read and navigate when we try to keep our conversations organized.
The other benefit to commenting on a post rather than starting a new one is that when one of us searches for particular topic, it is all there in one place under that heading. Let’s not drown each other in huge quantities of new blog posts if we don’t have to.
On the other hand, if you genuinely have a new topic to explore or ask about, we encourage you to take the lead on starting the conversation!
Please note: If you’re having problems with billing or shipping, please contact Blue Moon directly at sockclub@bluemoonfiberarts.com rather than posting to the blog. We are the ones that have the information (tracking numbers, addresses and shipping dates) to deal with these issues. You may email directly or use the Contact page of the blog to send that email.
This year we’ve asked some helpful members to play the role of “blog moms” for us. Their job is to help us all “play nice” together, and keep the dialog overall friendly, and enjoyable. The blog moms can’t speak for Blue Moon, but they will be able to bring problems and issues to our attention, too, so the blog moms will also be helping us with any technical issues that arise. If you’d like to reach a blog mom, just email blogmoms@bluemoonfiberarts.com.
By popular demand, we’ve created two buttons you can use on your blogs, Web sites, and so on to identify yourself as a member of the 2008 Rockin’ Sock Club. Please feel free to link these to this blog or to the Blue Moon Fiber Arts Web site.
Here are the buttons. If you know how to save these onto your computer and put them on your own Web site, go for it.
If you need the HTML code, here it is.

And, because so many of you are having fun on Ravelry, we’ve made an “official” RSC spoiler graphic you can use when you upload the yarn to your stash, or put the project in your queue.
