Sad to have received my last club shipment

I love the yarn and patterns.  I’m just sad because I can’t renew to be a member next year.  Not that I don’t WANT to, but I found out I cannot wear wool socks anymore.  For some reason, they wear the skin off of my feet and cause sores.  I am currently trying to knit a pair out of non-superwash and one out of non-wool to see if it is just superwash wool that is the problem.  I’m still a BMFA fan and will spend my $ on the non-superwash products, ones for hats, mittens, scarves, and the like.  Just can’t justify joining the club when I can’t enjoy the yarn  And no one else in my family wears wool socks, so I can’t knit them as gifts and still be in the club.

Just had to share my woe.  Pity party over, on to the Thanksgiving leftovers!

Rockin Sock Club 2010 suggestion

This being my first year with the Rockin’ Sock Club…

I would like an email when the new sign up thingie goes up, with a linky thing, because I MUST sign up again next year….

I, for the life of me, cannot remember how the sign ups went up next year, if I just stumbled upon it on the main site, or if there was a special thing, but I really want to know when it goes live.

Can anyone offer guidance?

When I work Row 8 for pattern A, after the k2 and 3 repeats of K13, w3&k3, I don’t have enough stitches to work the w3&k1, at the end of the row.  Did anyone else get stuck here?

Problem with Coupon Code

I’m trying to use my coupon and it keeps coming up as invalid.  It doesn’t expire until the 30th!  Has anyone else had this problem?

(Acknowledging that this is an international club but mostly made up of USA folks.)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It’s been one of those years for me with lots to be thankful for. DH survived his brush with H1N1 (so did cockeyed and many SOAR participants from the sound of things). I got another year of Sock Club and Sock Camp under my belt. I got to attend that wonderful event called Sock Summit ‘09. The family is gathering with DH’s mother for yet another Thanksgiving. (My folks happen on the weekend.) DH still has a job. Health insurance that covers 12 days in ICU without a hiccup (so far).  And so many other things.

I want to thank everyone for a wonderful year. Looking forward to another great year. Life is good, Hugs from the midwest.
