Hi everybody!

I signed up for Rockin’ Sock Club totally on a whim and since, have been asking myself “What did I DO?” I’ve never knit with STR before, infact: last year I only finished one sock (it’s very pretty though!)

I’m really, really looking forward to a year of STR and to getting to know all of you.

2007 Monsoon Socks

These are my Monsoon’s knit from a pattern from Cat Bordhi’s new book.  They were knit for my sister’s size 11 (!) feet, so they are a little baggy on the model.  Due to the sock size and pattern stitches, I had to order extra yarn, but I think I have enough left to make a plain short pair for me.   FWIW, Cat’s new book is great.  I have made several pairs as written and even designed one pair myself, using Cat’s handy measurement guides and Master Patterns.  I’m really looking forward to Sock Camp!

Yes!  I’m in!  almost came to bribing somebody.

Any other members here from Portland, Oregon?  Perhaps there is a place/time to meet over a pitcher of beer (wine?  - well not a pitcher of wine). 

I currently am teaching a drop in clinic for knitting for Portland Parks @ the SW Commnity Center Tues. nights @ 6:30 ($3.00 drop in fee).  Come see me, especially if you are having problems with your socks.  I’ll do my best to help and perhaps learn something from you!

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all having a happy new year and that your new sock club packages get to you a speedily as possible.  I’m still working on my Cat Bordhi sock, so I’m not in a super big rush to get mine.

But what I would like to do is to ask Tina to bring back Prove It All Night to the website (when you get a chance of course).  Please!  Pretty, pretty please. 

Lets show Tina that there’s enough of us that want it.  So all you that want Prove It All Night, back me up!

(That goes for any other classic BMFA colorway that we want back for the next website update too!)
